Both of our services are connected. If you apply for the waitlist this automatically puts you on for both services.
Paula Holt is the Centre director, her office is at the LCC site. Maddie Dowel is the Coordinator and her office is based at LELC.
At LCC we offer long care and Funded Kindergarten programs for three year old and four years old. at LELC we are open and continuing to grow. Currently we run two long daycare rooms and in 2024 commenced our first funded Three Year Old Kindergarten program (for LELC) and hope to hold funded 4 Year Old Kindergarten programs alongside LCC in 2025/6. (Where appropriate these programs are fully funded by the government)
We pride ourselves on having above required educator to child ratios and forming strong connections with families and the community.
The Leongatha Children's Centre Inc. has been in operation since May 1977 & LELC opened in May 2023, providing high quality centre based care and education for families in Leongatha and surrounding districts. It is a community resource, run by the community, for the community. To operate successfully we require and value feedback and assistance. LCC & LELC operates subject to the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Education and Care Services National Law, as supervised by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Copies of these regulations are available at all times in the Office. The Centre's are also registered with and successfully participates with the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) National Quality Framework.
We are a not for profit incorporated association that is lead by a family based Committee of Management.
Maternal and Child Health also operate from both buildings.
Service and Provider Approval, as required by national Law are held by Leongatha Children’s Centre Inc.
